1. Scope
This policy explains how your BUMA account and associated personal data are deleted:
- Upon your request (via the in-app Delete Account option)
- Automatically when your account has been inactive for 90 days
2. In-app account deletion
You can delete your account in BUMA as follows:
- Go to Settings -> Account (or Profile) -> Delete Account
- Confirm your request.
After confirmation, we delete or de-identify (anonymize where feasible) the personal data associated with your account as described below, as soon as reasonably possible.
3. Web deletion request (Google Play support)
In addition to in-app deletion, you may submit a deletion request through the following web page:
This page allows you to request deletion using the email address associated with your BUMA account.
4. Automatic deletion after 90 days of inactivity
If you do not use BUMA for 90 consecutive days (for example, no sign-in or no active use), your account data will be automatically deleted or de-identified.
5. Data categories typically deleted or de-identified
Where technically feasible, deletion includes:
- Account data: email address, login method (email/Apple/Google), internal user identifiers
- User-provided financial data: budgets, income/expense entries, categories, accounts, notes, and similar content you add
- Analytics and technical identifiers (where linked to your account): app usage events, device/app information, attribution or measurement signals (if applicable)
- Crash/performance data (where linked): crash logs and performance diagnostics collected through crash analytics tools
6. Subscriptions
Deleting your BUMA account does not necessarily cancel subscriptions purchased through the App Store or Google Play. You must manage or cancel subscriptions through your store account settings.
7. Exceptions and retention
In limited cases, we may retain certain records for a longer period where required for:
- Compliance with legal obligations
- Security and fraud prevention
- Establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims
When retention is required, we limit it to what is necessary and for as long as needed for the applicable purpose.
